As a fellow Ripon Artist I wanted to both say 'Hi' and to compliment you on your creative Dark Crystal Competition Film. I really enjoyed it. I love the puppets / Art dolls you make (having seen them also in The Office supplies shop) but in this video I really appreciated their use in your Jim Henson-esque tribute. I loved them so much I wanted to ask; do you undertake commission work for your art dolls and if so how much per doll? The reason I'm asking is because I'm currently in the process of collaborating with Leeds-based composer/conductor Keiron Anderson to make a 10-minute video to accompany a new orchestral work he's just written inspired by Alice in Wonderland - and the video will eventually accompany the music when it starts to be performed properly around the country. My plan for the video is a macabre combination of puppet-like animation, hand drawn illustration and photography. Although plans are in a very early stage right now I'm just getting a sense of whether you'd be interested in the job of making a couple of dolls for this (with more if the idea works!) and of course be credited in the project. If this is something you might potentially even be curious in a greater involvement in then please let me know. A demo version of the Alice music is available to hear on Soundcloud (search 'Keiron Anderson') and you can get a sense of two examples of my video styles by searching my personal YouTube channel and looking for two specific videos 'Brass Vortex' and 'The Sign of the Shining Beast'. Best regards, John.
