Making three A3 posters that discuss myself as a person, a professional and my ambitions.
I used STABILO Woody 3 in 1 Wax crayons for this task because I wanted to try and replicate the noisy textures of Emily Hughes's illustrations in 'WILD'. By using the crayons
The first poster is about me as a PERSON.
I wanted to discuss my optimistic, vibrant character as well as my connection with nature and exploring
Really like the little lady bird and if I'd spent longer on this poster I could have made it more interesting with more little critters clambering about. A background too. Too much white space.
Dora the explorer
STORYTELLER
I hate this one because it's so scruffy!
The text is squeezed in
The ears and the character are squeezed in more
could have benefited from further roughing!
This one is just a bit boring. There's nothing going on
I forgot about the requirement for the posters to be limited colour palette
I have learned that restricted colours work really well in other projects but I didn't plan this out and didn't realise how many colours I had used
COULD HAVE USED COLOURED STOCK but I drew the pictures before printing them so could only use white printer stock
Typography should have been considered more
I did think about it and try alternatives but I think I could have found a more appropriate font if I'd continued looking
